Jonas' Dad

Mr. L.J. Lozano (1949-2008) recently passed away on March 7, 2008. He was actually my friend Jonas' dad. They own a rice mill family business. Jonas and I go way back when I used to visit a church where he was the drummer for the worship team on Friday nights. Years later, we worked together as volunteer music teachers at Camp Sonshine. Please keep Jonas and his family in prayers that the Lord will comfort them and help them with their finances.

24 Mode

My schedule for the next few weeks will be hectic. That's ok, it's where God has me right now. My work schedule has expanded, I'm preparing to take the Zend PHP 5 Certification exam, and some of a pastor friend's responsibilities in our church youth camp preparation falls to me since he had to go to the US for a family emergency.

I had to cut my hair just so I could move faster.

Well, it's a new season.

Budz Visits

An old friend came back from Bermuda to spend her vacation here. Her name is Hazel Joy, but I call her "Budz" also. We've been friends for a long time, but got separated geographically because of work. It was hard to schedule a time I can meet her during her stay here, but I was able to invite her to our Afterglow service in church last Friday night. Afterwards, she treated my mom and myself out to dinner at a seafoods restaurant nearby.

Of Bread and Birds

"Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" - Matthew 6:26

As I was walking down the church parking lot, I saw a piece of bread and a bird who seems to have just found it lying there. I doubt that anybody intentionally tried to feed that bird -- it was a wild Maya bird. Then I saw at least one more bird interested in that bread. This reminded me of how God literally provides for the needs of the birds. And if He can do that, then how much more does He provide the needs of His own children for whom He sent His only Son to die for? Think about it.

32nd Anniversary: Da Parentz

March 8, 2008. My parents just celebrated their 32nd Wedding Anniversary. We had a simple celebration of pizza and pasta at our house that night. God is faithful. And He always will be.

"being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;" - Philippians 1:6
